People Should Be Against To Graffiti

by marbla

In urban areas, people have seen graffiti as a problem for decades.

However, it has been spreading far beyond the limits of cities. Aerosol spray cans are used by taggers in order that their marks will be on anything that doesn’t move permanently, or at least stays still long enough. As a result, they cost an impressive £200 million cleaning bill which is paid in the form of county taxes by you.

The manufacturers of markers and paints haven’t helped the matter much, either, though it’s only a side effect of them giving us what we want. When you apply a coat of paint to that porch chair, for example, you want a reasonable assurance that you won’t need to repaint it next month. Paint manufacturers put billions into researching ways to make their paints adhere to surfaces better and last longer. The end result – paints that will stay on your patio deck for decades. Unfortunately, those same paints are near to impossible to remove when they’re used to brand an innocuous business front with some tagger’s logo.

The solution being used by more and more municipal councils and private businesses is the application of anti graffiti finishes on any surface that is likely to collect signatures and the other expected drivel. Anti graffiti finishes come in several different types and offer differing levels of protection. While they don’t prevent graffitists from making their marks, they do ease the difficulty of cleanup – and if you’ve every been faced with a scrawled epithet on a white-washed wall, you know how important that can be.

Sacrificial anti graffiti coatings

One method of easing the removal of graffiti is the application of a coating of wax or acrylic that protects the surface beneath it. Anti graffiti wax is the least expensive short term solution, and may be suitable for a surface that isn’t likely to be targeted. Once the wax has been graffitied, the wax and graffiti are removed together by melting the wax, often with a stream of hot water. The drawback, of course, is that the sacrificial anti graffiti coatings are one use only. Once you’ve removed the graffiti, you need to reapply the wax to restore the protection.

Semi permanent anti graffiti coatings

A step up from the sacrificial coatings are semi permanent anti graffiti coatings. These are often based on polymers, polyesters, acrylics or epoxy and can be applied in multiple layers. While the graffiti agent – marker, paint or whatever – adheres to the coating, it doesn’t adhere to the wall or surface beneath it, and can be removed. Most often, removal will require the use of some chemical cleaner, and eventually, sometimes after only one or two cleanings, the anti graffiti barrier will have worn away, exposing the underneath surface.

Permanent anti graffiti coatings

Generally the most expensive up front of the anti graffiti measures, permanent anti graffiti coatings are likely to save money over the long run. The coatings are similar to those used in non-stick pans. They offer nothing for the paint or markers to adhere to, making it easy to simply whisk graffiti away with nothing more than soap and water.

In addition to anti graffiti coatings, many providers of industrial cleaners supply powerful anti graffiti cleaners which are meant to remove the spray paint or marker while causing as little damage to the underlying wall as possible. For buildings and areas that are less tempting targets, this solution is sometimes quite enough.

Graffiti Removal – Anti Graffiti Tips & Techniques

Before beginning to remove any graffiti, you need to first identify what kind of material has been marked by the graffiti. Stone, brick, concrete, glass, aluminum, street signs, and bus stops are just a few of the materials and places where you can find graffiti.

These surfaces can be smooth or textured. Some are painted, while others are not. All of these factors are important to be taken into account before you can decide what process to use to remove the graffiti. Most graffiti is applied using spray paint, but some artists use markers, stickers, or other means in order to mark their material. Each material and graffiti process requires a certain means of removal, which varies depending on the combination of both factors.

Except for paint, graffiti removal materials cannot be found in hardware stores or other shops. They must be ordered from specialty suppliers and often are only sold in bulk to cities and professional graffiti-removal services. However, if the graffiti that needs to be removed is paint, you can find these supplies at local retail stores; however they are likely to be specific for small projects. One method of removing graffiti is by painting over it.

This is an easy, usually inexpensive way to remove graffiti. Simply paint over the area marked with graffiti in smooth, even strokes, and you’re good to go. This method is also safer than using chemical solvents to remove graffiti. If you do decide to use chemicals, there is a variety to choose from, and it’s important to match up the chemical you want with the surface you are using it on.

If you don’t use the right chemicals, you could ruin the material you are cleaning up. If the job is a small cleanup (off a light pole, for instance), apply the necessary chemicals using a cloth or a rag.

Larger jobs require more dangerous chemicals and often should be handled by a professional. The final method that can be used to remove graffiti is pressure washing. Pressure cleaners spray out water at high pressures and will clean off paint in a good amount of time. You can also use water/solvent mixtures, baking soda, or sand to blast away the graffiti paint. The downside to this technique is that it could wear away the material being cleaned.

Once you have cleaned off the graffiti, all you have to do is apply a protective coating to the surface that was cleaned and you’re good to go. While simple graffiti jobs can be cleaned off personally, it would be wise to hire a professional company to clean off larger amounts of graffiti, since they’re techniques are safer for the surface being cleaned and they may have access to better materials.

Wallpaper Wins the Day at London Design Week

(PRWEB UK) 14 October 2012

The wallpaper renaissance showed no signs of slowing down as the leading design houses launched their new collections for commercial and domestic interiors for the autumn at London Design Week in September. Many of the new designs have been unveiled on Fabricsandpapers.com, the leading online retailer for curtain fabric, upholstery fabric and designer wallpaper.

Linwood launched an eccentric and playful collection of designer wallpaper in London called Art House which was one of the highlights on show. It draws inspiration from an eclectic range of sources including cityscapes, forest walks, bold fonts and English tea. With a combination of bright colours and sepia topes the designs make an ideal wallpaper portfolio.

Cole and Son, one of the most successful wallpaper houses in the last decade launched its Festival Stripes collection at the exhibition. The collection is inspired by the marquees, racing colours and blazers found at British sporting events and festivals. The 12 designs in the collection, in a total of 56 crisp and modern colour ways, work well in both contemporary and classis settings setting.

Sanderson also kept to the classis English theme with its new Richmond Hill wallpaper portfolio featuring 8 designs including paisleys, stripes and damasks. The collection follows the English tradition of seeking inspiration for interior design from around the globe using new and old imagery from India China and Europe. The wallpapers will enhance both contemporary and traditional interiors utilising a soft useable palette.

Designers Guild unveiled its Castellani Wallpaper collection at the show. Castellani is a sophisticated collection of designs with an emphasis on textural detail reflecting the textures of the Castellani and Moselle fabric collections which feature velvets, chenilles and complex jacquards and natural woven designs. Creating depth and dimension, the new collection offers designs that can be a used as a harmonious base to introduce print, colour and pattern.

The Town and Country collection launched by Zoffany provides a versatile mix of gently patterned wallpapers which have been designed for both town house interiors and relaxed country living. A sophisticated, mineral inspired colour palette and an emphasis on surface texture can be used to create room schemes that are chic and contemporary, or casual and comfortable. Its wild silk and linen designs are particularly effective.

The former Vogue Living Editor, Vanessa Barneby and designer, Alice Gates, who have teamed up to become Barneby Gates launched some beautifully quirky wallpaper patterns at Decorex. This included Fresco Birds, which creates an effect of a beaten up plaster wall complete with paint marks , old nails and graffiti-style scratches which is softened by decaying grey swallows flitting across the paper. Also new for 2012 is Honey Bees, a geometric honeycomb pattern interspersed with bees, created using the traditional surface print technique for a hand-stamped finish.

Emma Vans Agnew, design director, Fabricsandpapers.com, said: The leading interior design houses presented a myriad of designs and textures for their wallpaper collections at London Design Week using inspiration from historical archives as well fashion trends of the moment. The new designs epitomised the house styles of the major design teams. Shades of grey and muted natural colours are the predominant colours of the moment providing a calming base layer to build on.

As artists themselves, the trio realized it was time to put on live performances to help give the local artisans more recognition. The GirlsShow will involve numerous local artisans and performers.

In a close battle, Able walked away as the Chosen One.

The live graffiti competition featured hosts Jessica Sugar Kiper and Kev Hicks, and judges included Monster Energys Luke Trembath The Dingo of FUEL TVs Danny and The Dingo, world renowned graffiti artist Kelly Risk Graval, David Faustino (Married With Children, Legend of Korra, Old Scratch Record co-founder), Seth Shifty Binzer and Peter Mays (Executive Director, LA Art Association).

It was a perfect sunny day in LA with tons of energy and fresh talent on the music stage to include live performances by DJ Lethal (House of Pain & Limp Bizkit), headlining Andre Legacy and special performance by Shifty from Crazy Town as well as Future People, Patience Price, Luxury Kills, LA Breakers and more. There were also unique art exhibits from LAs street artists showcasing their raw talent, an art gallery featuring world renowned artists, merchandising booths, and food trucks. An art wall was designated for public use during the festival to inspire fans to create and join the fun of Graffiti.

Java Monster hosted a VIP lounge for all of the musicians, street artists, influencers, celebrities, media, etc. to chill and drink their favorite Java Monster drink as well as consumer lounges for the attendees to recharge. Photo booths-The best way to grab your clients attention.

Photo booths can be a thoughtful addition for business events such as product launch or even general body meetings. Photo booth companies are offering their booths for what could serve as automated coverage of business events. The main purpose behind these booths is to offer each of its clients the best photo booth hire experience at a competitive price within the formal business environment.

These days, photo booths are frequently hired for all sorts of business events such as business parties, corporate launches, meetings etc. If you have a client who loves to have fun on his business trip then we can hire photo booths for them. The price is quite reasonable and you can pay for the options you prefer in your photo booth.

Photo booths for business events package includes photo booth rental, attendant, guest book, logos on each photo strip and most importantly, the incredible fun prop boxes. Some companies also offer entertainment such as DJ, band or MC for foreign clients.

If you are unfamiliar with the quotes offered by the booth companies, then research a bit, before choosing the one that offers you a sweet deal.

The price and the discounts or special offers are posted on every website, so that you can check out the prices and grab the best on offer.

Renting out a booth has been a popular choice for special business occasions such as awards ceremony, motivational or training sessions, charity fund raisers, etc.

Traditional photo booths used in the business events simply box you in, thereby limiting the number of people. There is not enough space for everyone to pose. However, there are some companies that function like an open-air mini-studio. Even the set up and professional equipment are upgraded and amazingly versatile. You can modify the photo booth hire packages according to the event and some of the rental companies also have customization and branding options.

While hiring Photo booths for business events, the primary focus is to make the event “look good”. Equally important is to make your esteemed guests feel relaxed and have a fantastic experience at the event.

If you hire a booth for any kind of business event, you are bound to make an impression on the crowd, giving your business the boost you were looking for. The photo booth used at these special business events can give your associates/clients an exclusive souvenir for the event, combined with the pleasure of getting an instant print out right on the spot. The photos of the event can also be made available on an online gallery. Your guests can tag themselves on the photos and share them within their networks if they wish to.

These booths are an easy way to grab attention at business events, and could even optimize your business opportunities in a big way. The company you hire has national recognition; it can help you in generating leads that goes directly to you at no additional cost. Thus, Photo Booth Rentals is a great way to market your product and services to an ever-widening customer base.
